MODERN ART SUMMER CAMP with Andrew Dembina

– Making Images from the works of Modern Artists -

3-7 year olds 10am-11 am (1 hour)

8-12 year olds 11.15 am – 1.15 (2 hours)

On four Tuesdays in a row, little artists in two different age groups will take on their interpretations of the artwork of some of the greatest masters in the world of Modern Art.

Four different artists, with their roots mostly in the 20th century will provide the inspiration for kids to express themselves in the style of / inspired by the works of legends in the world of fine art.

A short talk on the artist with slides and sometimes video, will be followed by the hands-on picture making – using coloured pencils, pastels, gouache and acrylics as the selected artists’ works best suggest.

LAMMA NATURE & ART GUIDE
ART CAMP WITH ROZ KEEP

Creative art course to complete an art project about Lamma island

Day 1. Banyan trees.
Paint a Lamma Banyan tree, with Yung Shue Wan in the background. Use wax crayons, sponges and paint on large paper.

Day 2. Fish & Sea.
Tropical Reef Fish. Watercolour and oil pastel.
Lamma Reef Fish. Water paint on Chinese paper with black ink and colour.

Day 3. Lamma birds.
Learn to identify some Lamma birds and draw detailed studies from the famous HK bird guide book. Draw a favourite bird with watercolour pencils and/ or watercolour paint.

Day 4. Lamma Map.
Create a map of our island. Learn to find the most important landmarks and include them and perhaps add some of your favourite places, eg your home, a special camp site or hiking trail.

Participants' Art Projects will be combined into a unique Lamma Art & Nature E-Guidebook at the completion of the Summer Art Camp

CAMERA CLUB | Module 1 | July 19 – 23

The program:
1 session –
Theory: composition
History: history of photography. Learning about famous photographers (Cartier-Bresson etc) .
Practice: Meeting and trying own equipment: Still life photography (flower installation at LAC)

2 session
Theory: Light and darkness. Working with light
Practice: Playing with light and making photo portraits

3 session
Theory: Nature. Composition of the scenery, ‘main hero of the picture’ or the photo-impression History:
Practice: Nature photo walk

4 session
Theory: Macro photography & life hacks
Practice: Nature walk with Ewa Wilkinson

5 session

Working on your portfolio

Fee: HKD 1000 for the course (i.e. HKD 200 per session) OR HKD 300 walk-in per separate session

SPANISH CLASS CAMP With Adriana Midala

Come and join our fun Spanish playgroup for groups of kids up to 5 years old . We will be listen Spanish for the entire hour: starting with useful words through flashcards, songs and interactive games, doing a bit of crafts and finishing with an story telling!
